Saturday, April 10th some of us went to Bath (those of us who could actually wake up). We left the house shortly after 7:30. It is actually full daylight then. I'm not sure I've been out that early here yet. The weather was supposed to be sunny and in the 60s. It was wonderful (I judge a good weather day here on whether or not I can wear my sunglasses). We walked all the way to the train station. I led the group because we were running late and I walk fast (as I should since I'm always running after Dad). We bought our tickets, grabbed a pastry and waited for our train. We had to switch trains at one station and ended up waiting for 45 extra minutes because there was a fatality and rail work being done. So I turned into the paparazzi. The top one is of Rachel and Ali and the bottom is of the Sarahs.
We finally arrived in Bath at 10:45.
This is the road leading from the train station.
First thing we did was take some pictures of the town center. This is Bath Abbey. We did not go into it until later when my batteries had already died.
A king was crowned at this Abbey too.
I'm with a really cool pig statue near the Abbey. I have no idea what it signifies. I'm wearing an odd outfit. In England it is necessary for lots of layers.
This statue says Water is Best. I kinda prefer diet coke. And apparently drinking the water from the Roman Baths will give you the trots (a police man told us that-I made friends with him later).
Tomorrow I will post pictures from the Roman Baths and soon I will post pictures from tea, the fashion museum and the park. I have to steal those pictures from my friends.
